CARLA FLAVELL
Known to many as “The Queen of the Stage,” Carla is a powerhouse vocalist with a commanding presence that captures any room the moment she steps on stage. With soaring diva-style vocals, impressive range, and effortless runs, she delivers performances packed with energy, power, and personality.

Her versatility allows her to move seamlessly across genres - from R&B, pop and party anthems to rock, funk, reggae and classic favourites.
​
Often described as a human jukebox, Carla has an incredible knowledge of songs and can pull out requests on the fly, keeping crowds engaged and the dancefloor full.
With years of experience performing across Aotearoa, Carla has worked alongside artists such as Six60, Tahuna Breaks, Hipstamatics and many more.

Keyboards/Vocals
CHRIS MAREKO
Chris is one of Mischief’s three vocalists and an accomplished piano and synth keyboard player with many years of experience performing with a variety of bands. A powerful singer and natural hype man, he brings strong lead vocals, tight harmonies, and infectious energy that help drive the band’s live performances.

A true master of sound design on the keyboard, Chris is known for crafting the signature synths, textures, and layers that give Mischief its full, dynamic live sound.
Over the years Chris has worked alongside artists such as Stan Walker, Kings, Vince Harder, Annie Crummer, Betty-Anne, and many more. A talented multi-instrumentalist, you may also catch him singing, playing drums, or bass guitar at Mischief’s resident gigs.

When Chris is on stage, expect big vocals, huge sounds, and energy that keeps the crowd engaged all night!

Guitar/Vocals
JAEDON GASCOIGNE
Jaedon is one of Mischief’s three vocalists, bringing smooth vocals and standout guitar work to the band’s live sound. A long-standing original member from the band’s early beginnings, he has grown alongside the group and remains a key part of its sound and identity.
​
Known for his clean tone, impressive guitar solos, and effortless vocal style, Jaedon delivers performances that audiences love week after week. A talented multi-skilled performer, he can sing, rap, and play guitar, adding versatility and depth to the band’s repertoire.
​
In addition to Mischief, Jaedon also sessions for a number of other bands and performs a large number of solo shows, regularly playing venues such as Danny Doolan’s and building a strong following of his own.

Bass
JUNIOR NANSEN
Junior is one of the three Nansen brothers, known collectively as the session band “The Levites.” A long-time presence in the New Zealand music scene, he is currently the Musical Director for Stan Walker and also performs with artists such as Kings and Melodownz.
​
Over the years he has worked with artists including Ricky Martin, Mitch James, Vince Harder and Adeaze, appearing on television shows such as The X Factor and Popstars NZ, and performing at major festivals across New Zealand and internationally.
​
Known for his high-energy performances and creative bass lines, Junior brings a powerful groove and musicality that drives the band’s sound and lifts every live show.
His talent, experience, and commanding stage presence make him a key force behind Mischief’s rhythm section

Drums
TAUA TAVIONI
The youngest member of the band, Taua is an incredibly talented and high-energy drummer whose skill and passion shine through every performance. His quick ability to learn and adapt has allowed him to excel across the many genres Mischief performs, making him a powerful driving force behind the band’s sound.
​
Taua studied at Excel School of Performing Arts, where he was hand-picked to join a national tour around New Zealand, showcasing his talent on stages across the country.
​
Already making waves in the music scene, Taua has been performing at shows and festivals alongside artists such as Myshaan, Sam V, Elena, Pati, and many more. For his age, he is well ahead of his time, bringing both precision and explosive energy to every stage he steps on.
